I just got a phone call from a nice woman from somewhere "in-between Tyler and Jacksonville." She has a 31 acre place and is having issues with pigs tearing up her place. She's trying to sell the place now so she wants someone or something to take care of them pretty quick. She got a trapper this week, but apparently that isn't helping. She wants someone to come out there and hunt them, as many days as you want. She said she even has a pad to put a camper on if you want to do that.

To be honest, I don't know what else to do besides new fencing, but she didn't seem to interested in that idea. I told her she could go to the local barber shop and get hair, but I don't think she was too pumped on that idea either. I also told her someone could pee on the entrance, but I doubt that last for long.

If you would like to hunt the place, give me a call and I'll give you her phone number. She does want someone responsible and someone who is going to hunt, not screw around. It's not a big place, but it is free hunting, so please don't call me if you are going to get me in the middle of something I don't want to be in.

Also, if anyone has any other ideas I'd love to hear them.

My phone number is 682-300-4008 if you're interested.

Thanks,

Clay

Man I would be all over this if I wasn't leaving for VA this weekend. I'm sure a couple of THF'ers will be able to get together and fix the hog problem.

I won't be on the forums much, so if you want to hunt it ASAP a phone call would be the best way to get a hold of me.

I sent the link to the thread to a few buddies of mine that live in the area.....right now I'm wishing I still lived in J'ville.

31 acres is nowhere even close big enough to run dogs unless you get all her neighbors permission to cross their fence. I dont run on anything less than 500acres and some times i still get outrun to fenceline

dont have ta run em, just walk around couple times with dog on leash a couple nights, it wont solve problem, but it will get tje hogs of her property. U said it your self hogs out run ya to the fences. an it may open doors for ya confused2 welcome ta THF,hope no hard feelens, ta drive a distance just ta walk dog on leash just ta help some one, is not very profitable. people have come out here an run dogs, & ya wont see hogs for a month or so.

Walking a dog around or peeing isn't going to help.
Get a light and sit and wait.

My dogs would be so pissed off at me to let them smell'em walk around on a leash for a while then load back up and go home. But like you said it may open up a door for a big tract of land to run on
