Here is my collection. (minus what's on my lanyard). Just wanted to share. Can anyone find the real treasure?

Yeah, it's an original, hand turned and cut down from the first original batch that Phil made when he started that call. It's my prized possession. (As far as duck calls are considered.) It sounds absolutely amazing. I sent it to him last year and he hand tuned it up again for me. It's the best sounding call I have ever heard. Too bad I would never take it out to the field.

You've never blown an old duck commander? You'd like em, cedar, 2 piece insert, like an reelfoot toneboard but with a curve.

Dang good call. Took out a guy a few years back and he started calling at ducks with me, I stopped and looked at him and asked what kind of call is that? That call sounded great.

I recall Minney Harrelson (the late owner of Cajun Calls) telling me about helping Phil out in the beginning. I went to Minneys' home in Lake Charles about a year before he passed away and bought a bunch of old Cajun calls from him. The stories that man could tell about the "good ol days" were awesome! Bought some old Cajun varmint, squirrel and other calls besides a bunch of duck calls. All of the calls were added to my display and will never be used. One of the best sounding calls is a cane call they made. I use nothin but Cajun brand calls. Thanx for posting the pic with the info on Cajun calls in it!

Somewhere in my shop I have a box full of nothing but the old wood toneboards and wedges. There must be a least a couple of hundred that I picked up from them years ago. And no they are not for sale or give away.

I have three Cut Down reachers that Phil cut for me back in the late eighties. They are very collectible.

Other than calls that have a special meaning like Wonder's calls cut by Phil or a call I actually use often. If I had an older duck commander call or two, I would sell them now while the show is at a peak and the demand is high. At some point the show will go stale and the resale values will drop dramatically. Especially if I was not a call collector. Sprigspanker is obviously a call collector. That is an impressive collection. Very nice.

The Reacher and the DC Original with the "patent pending" sticker are the most collectible of the DC calls. All the others are about a dime a dozen.

I just checked. I have a couple of them too.

I agree that selling them at their peak would be a good move.

I sold a first generation Daisy Cutter last year and made serious bank for a call. I also sold a first run DFB that had been modified by Kirk McCullough for stupid money....Cashing in on the cut-down craze.

I think I'll keep my commanders.....I have a cut down reacher on my lanyard every time I hunt.
