I've been seeing birds all over today, most of the ponds around here have had at least a few on them. Most looked to be ringnecks and redheads and a few gadwalls. Just over a week away now!

Went looking a few days ago in denton county and saw mostly teal. Very few big ducks.

Saw about 50 geese yesterday while hunting Dove in Hutto.

There's a pond I pass daily on the way to work in N. Fort Worth and I always crane my neck to look for ducks. Birds showed up on it Monday and did I ever get excited! They're finally showing up. Can't wait for the opener.
