This is youth season regs copied straight off of tpwd.

This does not apply to properties that have Level 3 MLD permits, or in counties where there is no open general season for white-tailed deer.
Age Restriction: Only licensed hunters 16 years of age or younger are eligible to participate in youth-only deer seasons. Youth Hunting License Required (Type 169).
Early Youth-Only Season: Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 26-27, 2013. All legal hunting means and methods are allowed, except in Collin, Dallas, Grayson and Rockwall counties, where lawful means are restricted to archery only (no crossbows except for youth with upper limb disability).
Late Youth-Only Season: Jan. 6-19, 2014 . The season is open in all counties where there is a general open season for white-tailed deer. All legal hunting means and methods are allowed, except in Collin, Dallas, Grayson and Rockwall counties, where lawful means are restricted to lawful archery equipment and crossbows.
Bag limits, take of antlerless deer, and special requirements:
In Anderson, Brazos, Camp, Delta, Fannin, Franklin, Gregg, Grimes, Henderson, Hopkins, Hunt, Lamar, Leon, Madison, Morris, Rains, Red River, Robertson, Smith, Titus, Upshur, Van Zandt and Wood counties, the bag and permit requirements are the same as the period Nov. 28-Dec. 1, 2013 for each respective county (see County Listings); and

For the remainder of the state, the bag and permit requirements are the same as for the first two days of the general season in the county (see County Listings).

In a county where antlerless deer may be taken only by permit, a permit is required to take antlerless deer during the youth seasons.

So I see this as a yes since you can take does Nov. 28-Dec 1 without a permit.

North Texas
Archery Only Sep. 28 - Nov. 1, 2013
No permit required unless MLD permits have been issued for the property.
General Season Nov. 2, 2013 - Jan. 5, 2014
Antlerless Permit On USFS, Corps of Engineers, and river authority lands, the take of antlerless deer shall be by permit only, except in Fannin County. On all other tracts of land, antlerless deer may be taken without permits from Nov. 28-Dec. 1, 2013. At all other times, antlerless deer may be taken by antlerless MLD or LAMPS permits only. If antlerless deer permits have been issued, they must be attached to all antlerless deer harvested from the tract of land.
Youth-Only
Early Youth-Only Season Oct. 26 - 27, 2013
Late Youth-Only Season Jan. 6 - 19, 2014
Bag Limit 4 deer, no more than 2 bucks, and no more than 2 antlerless, all seasons combined.
Antler Restrictions Special Antler Restrictions do not apply to properties for which Level 2 or Level 3 MLDPs have been issued. For counties with Special Antler Restrictions, a legal buck deer has: 1. at least one unbranched antler, or 2. an inside spread of 13 inches or greater. The inside spread requirement does not apply to any buck that has an unbranched antler. Not more than one buck with an inside spread of 13 inches or greater may be taken.

I doesn't sound like you can but call your local warden to be sure.

YES! Youth with rifles this weekend (or adults with bows) can shoot does all the way up to the opening of rifle season.

If Van Zandt county has a special antlerless season I'm willing to bet NO youth can't shoot doe this weekend. Just like when hunting AR counties youth can only shoot bucks over 13".

Just call your warden.

Read very carefully (and call your game warden if you want), but those Antlerless Restrictions are listed AFTER the date for the General (rifle) Season for a reason - that is when they take effect.

Note that under the Archery Only season it states that no permits are required.

Youth Weekend takes place DURING archery only season - therefore the doe restrictions do not come into play (which they DO during the General Season).

You can shoot 1 buck over 13" and/or 1 buck with at least 1 unbranched antler. There is nothing that says they (youth) cannot shoot doe or only bucks over 13"...

Yes, youth can shoot does. The kids regulations are the same as Thanksgiving weekend.
