5am? Why not just spend the night in the stand?

1 hour before sunup & 1 hour before sundown. Unless the rut is on then I'll sit longer, especially if the weather is condusive to it. I love hunting the rut when it is cool and drizzly best!

High fence, low fence, no fence, it really doesn't matter as long as you're hunting!

well, I always tried to get to the stand a hour before daylite, but with the cameras, I noticed that sometimes the deer got to the feeder a hour before daylite. So to be ahead of them now I go 2 hours before daylite and drink coffee till the sun comes up

I really like the camera, because I can wait and see if it is flashing before I approach the stand.

Sat - sunrise at 7:54, will be in blind shortly before 7.
sunset at 6:46, will be in blind before 5 (earlier than necessary but I like to be out there). Plus we've had more mid-late afternoon activity than usual lately.

Dozer, mulched, and trackhoe work. Fencelines, senderos, tanks. Let me know if I can help with any dirtwork or construction.

I will arrive with all of my glory around 5:15 am. It takes me about half hour to put all of my stuff in my blind. I'll stay all day. I love it when other huntere get out of their blinds in the mornings and start farting around their lease and go to camp. Usually they will end up pushing deer my way, so my mid day hunting is just as good as early and late. I'll drive my jeep to my blind tomorrow evening and load most of my things prior to the hunt. I have all kinds of storage in my blind. I only have a front window so I have 3 walls to hang stuff on. Taking lots of equipment works out good for me. I'm retired and I'll hunt for a couple of weeks at a time. None of this matters, about what time I get there, because 10 min prior to daylight I have to get out and remove the pressure on my gut. Every day when I'm in the woods before daylight my butt butters up and starts talking to me with noises that still make me laugh. But that is part of hunting. Do any of you carry a bucket to use in your blind? I've been thinking about having a 5 gal bucket with a lid to use. I've wondered if it would work?

I feed Indian Corn, the deer really seem to like it and stay at the feeder longer......and longer....!

Before sun up and sit all day till after the sun goes down, unless its hot and nothing is moving, then I walk around till time to get back in the stand.
