Any recommendations for lodges in SD for pheasant hunts? Looking to go during the second week in December. I know most spots may be filled but any advice will be appreciated. Planning on taking customers for a 3-day hunt with nice lodging.

Thanks in advance

Medicine Creek outside of Pierre, SD. Make sure you get them to hook you up with some prairie dog shooting.

I'll be able to let you know about Shattuck outfitters in Gregory SD in about a month. My hunt starts on 11/11/13.

This will be my 12th year hunting here: http://www.onthepoint.com/
Not sure how good the hunting will be this year. But I'll enjoy it anyways with my dogs.

Yes. They have nice new kennels. They have guides with excellent dogs too.

Oh, I forgot to mention. Lemmon SD is on the border and we are hunting in North Dakota. Out of state license are $100.

Hey guys I live in Ipswich,SD. North Central part of the state I could give u some good reference of places around here to hunt. On the point is a very nice place, Dakota Game Lodge is a smaller ran operation with good hunting. I could give u all kinds of places depending really what u are looking for. The bird numbers are low but still better then having nothing. The crops are still standing because of the weather but later this month hopefully the birds will appear better when all the crops are off. Give me a call if anybody has any question might be able to find something your looking for. Jeremiah Horst. 6052168149

I'll be at On The Point 11/9-11/14 for the 12th year in a row. I look forward to it every year. It's 10 miles south of Ipswich.

I wish they would rebuild and open Craven Corner bar and restaurant though. Otherwise, there is no night life.

They built a new bar at the Eagles Nest Lodge just west of craven corner a few hundred yards. Not sure when it will be open but I would think fairly soon.
