I bought a new one today and took it to the range. Glass seemed nice for a cheap scope. I shot it 12 time and was impressed. Got settled in for the 13th shot and the glass was foggy and I could see my target twice. If I lower the power it gets better but anything over 7 and it gets foggy and double vision again. Anyone ever had that happen?

I have heard they have great CS and warranty so im sure they will make it right. I bought a viper either last year or year before and wasnt thrilled with it. For the price i think its a great value just not quite what i expected. I want to take a peek through the PST and check them out in low light.

Cabelas will take care of you no questions asked. I sighted a rifle in for a buddy last year that had diamond back thought is was a good scope for the price.

Has far as vortex I found a way to bend a viper and they sent me a new one had it inless then aweek

Call (800)426-0048 and speak to Jimmy or Scott.

Explained what happened, and I know that they will do everything that they can to help you out.

cmorsch, If you have any difficulty it getting it replaced before season give me a shout. I have a Zeiss Conquest 3x9x40 setting in my closet I would let you use till you get your scope back or replaced.
I would hate to see anyone miss opening day because of a mechanical malfunction.

I bought a Vortex with side focus last spring and was not happy. For the price I paid it was not worth it. Took it back and bought a Leupold for about the same price and it is a much better scope.

Cabelas took it back no questions asked. They even had their scope guy check it out and he said a O-ring had come lose and that caused it to fog up. After talking to him for awhile I wound up getting another diamondback and so far it has functioned great!! Hopefully it was just a bad apple in a barrel of good ones.

I am assuming this was meant for me... I have several other guns/scopes I could use but I sure appreciate the offer. Thanks!!!

That's one of the classiest acts of kindness that I have seen in a long time. Gary, you are very much a gentleman!

I see a lot of hunters post for this brand. If you want an inexpensive scope that works get a used Leupold Mark 2. Most of the rest you'll have problems with.
