What's everybody cooking this weekend?

We're gonna have the usual meatfest at our place...Wild boar tamales, duck and andouille gumbo, fried pork ribs (trust me), wild boar bbq sandwiches, ribeyes, venison sausage breakfast tacos and hopefully some fresh venison tenderloin.

Chicken eggs with some kind of pork in the mornings, then roll of red and loaf of bread for lunch. For dinner mashed potatos, fried deer liver and heart with blood gravy. After that coffee, going to bed getting up 5-7 times in the nite to pee, then starting over.

I feed Indian Corn, the deer really seem to like it and stay at the feeder longer......and longer....!

Shrimp boil Friday night, and pork ribs on Saturday. We are staying through next week, so it's a toss up the rest of the week, but there will be some fried backstrap one night for sure.

grill up some burgers Friday night and then beans, cornbread and some jal.cheese sausage for Sat. night. sandwiches during the day.

we used to always do a fish/shrimp fry on Sat night but decided to try something less time consuming this year.

Hey exoticbob, have you ever tried grilling your Jal/Cheese summer sausage?
I like slicing it in 1/2" thick patties and put it on the grill and make a sandwich with it! Very tasty!

Venison chili. Something we can make early - hopefully we're busy dressing deer in the evening.

I may have to re-think my menu now. I think some chili and a big glass of buttermilk in the morning. Lunch will now be tuna salad and crackers. I'll have a box of cookies and plenty of coffee, dr pepper, and apple juice to drink. Dinner will still be liver, heart, blood gravy, and deer fries if he is big enough.

I feed Indian Corn, the deer really seem to like it and stay at the feeder longer......and longer....!
