I just put my deer blind up for deer season. Now I'm trying to figure out if my blind is illegal. Behind blind is a pond about 85 yards away. I do have a hunting window facing pond. Am I to close to pond to legally hunt. I hard been search internet but I can't find info .

There is no law I know of preventing you from hunting a water source.

My wife must be a cross between a Indian and a bulldog. When she's not on the warpath, she's sitting on her butt growling.

you can sit in a boat or stand in the water and hunt if you want to.... (assuming it's your pond)

we have a blind on the dam of our pond

The only thing you would have to watch is if you put a feeder close to that pond and then want to hunt migratory birds at that pond.

That feeder is in the flight path of birds coming in to water. Fine is now 4 figures instead of 3 grin
