How do you go from having pigs and deer from 27 Aug to 28 September with hogs and deer on a game cam and then all of sudden disappear? I have been researching and can not find anything. Did not change anything. Only thing I can think of is the Acorn drop and I don't have any trees by me that have acorns. Any info or opinions would be great!

Neighboring hunters started their corn feeders and/or they have the mast crops. Also recent rainfall and someone could have planted a food plot or small grains for livestock grazing.

If the neighbors are feeding "Indian Corn" you may never see any deer or hogs again.

What he said.

A few short weeks after the season ends and your neighbors have let their feeders run dry, the deer and hogs will return.

You may also be frequenting the area a lot more than your neighbors to check your cameras. The best food plots and feeders are the ones that you stay away from until the season opens.

Yep,,also like someone else said ,stay away from that area as often as possible. Try scouting another area. With the recent rains tracks will be easier to see. You may find your honey hole. Look for persimmon trees if you have any where you hunt. They are hitting them hard here.

We've were talking about this the other day. Acorns dropped and no one saw much this weekend.

I plan on finishing up some last minute prep work before gun season starts.

If nothing is coming at all. You should have a big pile of corn under your feeders. Unless you have a bunch of corn thieves (coons).
I bet they are coming around, just here and there instead of all at once when the feeder goes off. And maybe at night.
I hardly see anything at feeders now, maybe two or three deer where there was 20 before. But my game cam pictures has some deer at night.

What size is the property you hunt? Do you have plenty of brush and water? Is there enough cover for them to establish a core area that they bed down in? If your property doesn't have these you are considered an optional travel route for them. They change these routes significantly from summer to fall.
