....In an aquarium of course. Walter P. Slithers is making a fine adjustment to his new quarters.

I had one in College, Six and a half feet of Western Diamond Back, Milked him for Anti Venom and Got beer Money! Came home from work one night and he had pushed the lid up, found him coiled up in the middle of my water bed.

He was released the next day. His name was "Chainsaw."

I trust the snake more than my in-laws. At least the snake is honest about who he is and what his motives are.

I used to keep one on my desk. He got used to me, but would rattle if anyone else came near.

He spends most of the day inside his little heated rock cave. He comes out around dusk and in the middle of the night. He's pretty shy. Any noise or movement and he'll disappear into his cave. He seems to prefer dark and quiet. He's eaten a couple of small mice/pinkies but won't touch the crickets.

that's good... the hardest part is getting them to eat while in captivity.

My buddy did that with a small rattler he found while playing rugby. His dad thought it was a dumb idea and made him go and buy a snake bite kit just in case. Sure enough, about a year later he got bit while feeding it and went to the ER. He almost lost his finger and still has some wicked scars on it. Be Careful!

sorry, but I've never seen a docile snake. Only ones that have been fed and ones that haven't. I can't trust a so called "tame" snake. The ones I have been around tend to get moody...and quick.

I still think its a cool pet. Just not for me smile
