There is a farmer in Jasper Co. who is not pleased right now - walking around yelling for Wilbur, but Wilbur won't be bringing home a ribbon this year....

I would like to see some more pics. A good side view showing the head would be nice.

I don't understand what the big deal is, I'm sure domestic hogs escape all the time, and they become fair game at that point. Just because it doesn't have 100% wild genetics doesn't detract from the fact that its a nice big pig. I'm pretty sure if it wandered past any of us, we would have shot it too. I know if that thing walked up to my feeder, I'd shoot him, and I wouldn't care if he escaped 5 years ago or 5 weeks ago. It isn't like he shot it in the FFA barn, as far as we know anyway. As long as he can honestly say he shot it during a "legitimate" hunt, I say more power to him, regardless of the hogs parentage.
If anyone on this forum would have shot it, we'd have given the 'ol DogCatcher Salute ( up).

I would have shot it. At the end of the day it's still a nasty stinkin pig. If it was eating my deer corn then I would have reason enough to shoot it.
