So I decided to post a different kinds of pictures of this years dove opener.

With a tropical storm at our backdoor it made things difficult to get around on opening weekend but we managed to make it work. We hosted around 200 hunters that weekend. Friday started off like it always does, fast and furious. Lots of shooting and plenty of birds. Saturday and Sunday were a little slower but there was still plenty of shooting and the birds held long enough for the last hunt on Sunday evening, even after the first cold front of the year blew through.

If anyone reads the Corpus Christi Caller Times- David Sikes (outdoor writer) hunted with us and wrote a great write up on the opening weekend.

And after the 7 inches of rain that the storm brought us that weekend. David and I took off one morning to shoot limits of teal in the flooded milo field that we shot doves out of on opening weekend.

Haiden, How are the birds lately? Dove? Teal? Wish I could have made opening weekend with yall. I actually hunted in Beeville area on a invited hunt. not a lot of birds where we were, but had a good time despite all the rain. I rode over to the public land south of Kingsville, the Tuesday evening after 2nd weekend and did not see much action. I'm ready to be back to a normal lifestyle and not on the Oilfield lifestyle schedule.

Really nice pics. I just posted a pile of birds, my O/U, beer and my Yeti. When you hunt alone, you kinda run out of pic options !
