That's definitely a lion and NOT a bobcat. I've seen them at night before on a ranch I was hunting south of SWEETWATER.

We had one (or several, who knows) frequently on a ranch about 15 miles NW of Sweetwater. Once the wind generators went up, all sightings and signs disappeared.

Might be a bear if it were darker, heavier, and shaped differently, but I am going to go out on a limb and say that it is a mountain lion.

No doubt about that one. The rare, long tailed bobcat.

Definitely a lion. I encountered one back in 1996 on my lease in Sweetwater about 5 miles north of the airport. It had one of my birddogs down and I still think to this day I shocked that cat off of my dog with the e-collar. $600.00 dollars later, I got to leave Sweetwater after spending the night at the vet saving the dog. She made it though.
