If you could catch or shoot a Big hog, What color is your favorite?
I like the blonde phase and the white spotted. Big black ones are ok. I don't like reds

'  This is what I like. Boar that are in the pre-winter color around sept/oct time frame. The dark areas are starting to come through but there is still some blond in there.

Red with black spots or black and white Duroc with the racing stripes.
My favorite color is bone white - you know, after their bones lay in the sun for a few weeks....
Gotta admit, HeidelbergJaegers rug looks pretty good!

Just solid black for me. It just makes em look more mean and hog like, the colored and spotted ones look like sissy hogs, like they got a paint job to show off look at me look at me.

I am with arrowhead! BBQ colored ones right out of the smoker. On the hoof I like light ones that are easy to see at night.

I mainly like the ones with a little red spot on one side of their head and a big red spot in the other side!
If a whole sounder shows up I shoot the oddest colored one, yellow, spotted, whatever... I do want to shoot one of them white ones with a black "saddle" on his front shoulder I think they're called Hampshire

Rick, I believe that is the color of DEAD. Most people don't describe it as well as you, but that is a color, I do believe.

I like mine a light brown, but not much darker or it'll be too crispy. I also like brown with a rosemary and pepper speckle. Either of them look good next to grits, eggs sunny side up, and hash brown casserole.
