I've done some general research online and could not find any major problems. Some were probably calling it the next Dodge City and the end of the world.
Has it really been an issue in Oklahoma?
I suspect it would not create a problem here in Texas either.
To be determined

I really hope that was tongue in cheek Think I can smell the sarcasm in that one. Since all data seems to point to gun ownership and right to carry reduce crime. All the no open carry crowd is entitled to their own opinions, not their own facts.

I have not *seen* any problems any time I've been back home, and I've seen several open carriers.

I have noticed that most folks don't even notice. It's odd what the public in general doesn't notice when out and about.

Just an fyi for anyone that might read that post and take it that a non oklahoma resident can open carry in oklahoma. If one has a non oklahoma concealed carry license reciprocal or accepted in Oklahoma such as a Texas concealed handgun license, that person can only carry concealed in Oklahoma. They can not open carry like an Oklahoma resident can.

TITLE 21 § 1290.26 VERSION 2 (as amended by Laws 2012, SB 1733, c. 259, § 44, eff. November 1, 2012) The State of Oklahoma hereby recognizes any valid concealed or unconcealed carry weapons permit or license issued by another state. Any person entering this state in possession of a firearm authorized for concealed or unconcealed carry upon the authority and license of another state is authorized to continue to carry a concealed or unconcealed firearm and license in this state; provided the license from the other state remains valid. The firearm must either be carried unconcealed or concealed from detection and view, and upon coming in contact with any peace officer of this state, the person must disclose the fact that he or she is in possession of a concealed or unconcealed firearm pursuant to a valid concealed or unconcealed carry weapons permit or license issued in another state. Any person who is twenty-one (21) years of age or older having a valid firearm license from another state may apply for a handgun license in this state immediately upon establishing a residence in this state.

The reciprical agreement is confusing. Part B as well makes it clear nonpermitting states that allow concealed carry can only carry concealed in oklahoma. Here is the actual bill. I am surprised someone has not gotten a letter of determination on this. But I found nothing online. I personally would not take the risk on "conflicting information". http://ftpcontent.worldnow.com/griffin/NEWSon6/PDF/1205/SB1733%20ENR.pdf
