I'm not in Texas and we don't have mule deer here in Louisiana. But I'll be using muzzleloaders for our entire 70-day whitetail season. My cartridge guns have stayed in the closet for the last few years.

If you can't laugh at yourself, give me a call. I'll gladly laugh at you.

I won't be using my muzzy unless hunting for free! I just got back from hunting in Unit 2B in New Mexico; the hunt cost me $900 and never saw a shooter buck! (except for one stand by the road on Monday night about 8:00PM)

I have never hunted muledear with a muzzleloader...definitely on my list. I will be hunting whitetail with my traditional muzzleloader all season. 58 Cal round ball will bring em down!

Recon that .58 prb. should put em down on the spot. A soft lead patch round ball is big medicine on game,,,,,,Dusty
