I am looking for a new carry pistol and am sticking with the 45. I am wondering what are y'all's opinions on these two?
I have held the XDS but not the 30S

I'd say 30S since the XDS is still in its recall and has no solution.

I would say the 30s, I am looking for one to get my hands on. I love my 30 but a little slimmer would be nice.

Not really an apples to apples comparison, the Glock 36 is more in line with the XDS.
I have owned a Glock 36, XDS 45 and currently own a Glock 30SF. Personally the 30 blows the other two away as far as shooting goes, plus capacity. But for dedicated carry I would go Glock 36 without a doubt.

I have a G30 and an XDS...I retired my 30 when I got my XDS, I will take the capacity hit any day of the week for the concealability of the XDS.

Of the two, I would say the one not under recall.
Mostly, it comes down to how you are going to carry it. IWB, maybe the G36 would be better. OWB or pack, why not get the better handling G30.
I went with a Sig Ultra Compact. There are other brands with the same design. It might be worth keeping as an option.
