If someone is able to legally own a firearm, can I loan them one? Example. Have friend flying into Dallas, he has CCL in his state and is honored in Texas, but doesn't want to risk bringing his weapon. Can I loan him one of mine? If not, can it be rented? I am not worried about them harming gun, scratching it, etc. Just wanting to know the legal implications, if any. Hunting weapon also.

Dont see why he wouldnt be able to use the firearm if he is able to legally own a firearm.

Cole I would think you would be fine legally. However if he borrows a CHL weapon and ends up having to use it while he is here, you probably won't be getting that weapon back any time soon if at all. Of course if he is no billed then you won't have a problem.

sure...I know many people who have "community guns" that they keep at the house or the camp for friends/relatives to use. As long as they are legally able to possess a firearm, it should not be a problem.
