I heard this weekend that the ported choke tubes are very damaging to a dog's hearing. How true is this? I haven't been able to find anything on the internet to support it so I figured I'd ask the pros here! Thanks!

I suppose if you stand your dog in front of your gun while shooting skeet all day, it might have merit. Regular bird hunting exposure to it? I doubt if there is any more damaging effect than regular tubes.

It's just part of a gun going off in your ear 1000 times a year for 9 years...
