Could these tree "rubs" be from hogs? There was obvious rooting and tracks all over this area.





This had the shape of a hog hoof but seems a little pointed. As large as the palm of my hand. Is this a hog?

Your track appears to be a deer track. Note how pointed it is.

Your top "rub" tree appears to have tool marks and the deep gouges of wood and lack of mud/dirt on the fresh surfaces seems very odd.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here but do you have a pond,lake,or some other water source near these trees? Those marks on those trees look like gnaw marks from a beaver to me.....just saying... nidea

Porcupine will do that to trees . We had to set some traps for em down south cause they were ruining all the trees around camp

I don't think so. Beavers pretty much always chew deeper into the tree. The edges of where they chew will be smooth. These are ragged.
