my buddy is thinking about selling the gun and buying a crossbow, anyone have any idea what what the gun is worth? It's in good workable condition, he just don't use it anymore.

That's a tough one....16g is a plus (+), being an "American Browning" is a minus (-) unless it's in VERY good condition. Does it have a poly-choke (-), recoil pad (-), and is the wood solid and the forend not cracked from over-tightening the retainer (+)? Anywhere from $100 just for the wood and some parts to $450 or so if in really good condition is all I'd pay. Not making an offer or anything, but I've been known to buy a few A5's and that's my take on the American Brownings.
