Just a few pics of random bugs I found on our land in Coleman County: Brown Widow (Male and Female - bet he doesn't cuddle too much after lovemaking)  Desert Millipede  Aggie (Dung) Beetle  One Legged Katydid  Lubber Grasshopper  Camo Mantis  Spider Webs in Heavy Dew  Striped Bark Scorpion  Kate Moss  Windscorpion

Cool insect photos. Number 4 is a Camelback Cricket. I love looking at all the different bugs when out in the field.

I hope you stepped on that scorpion with your boot after the pic. Never heard of a wind scorpion. I don't see a tail so do they bite or sting?

I had never seen one before either. Had to look it up. He was aggressive and if I got too close, he would raise up and threaten me with his pincers like a crab. His threat worked. From what I read, they aren't poisonous but can pinch and bite pretty hard and they move really fast. That scorpion got his later that night. We found 5 of them in the garage with a black light. It was the Fourth of July, so I made my very own "Stinger Missiles" with some bottle rockets and duct tape (beer was involved). I didn't get stung but my friend did (whiskey was involved).

The spiders were thicker than I would have thought. Without the dew they would have been invisible. Would suck to be a moth in that environment.
