Is it possible to work with game wardens as a volunteer. I don't work and I am able to do as I please friday through Saturday. Monday through Thursday I watch my kids but am possible to make arrangements with daycare. Im not looking for a job or to get paid. Just something to do on my spare time.

Just do like so many do on here and become an internet game warden. Anytime someone posts a picture find things wrong with them. This also works with their stories. You'll become very popular in no time!

Yeah...I think Cappy really gave the only answer that could be given. Ask them...worst they can say is no.

Trolling aside I'm honestly not sure a GW wants a "helper". I'm sure many would think..this guys just going to get in my way. However there are probably lots of volunteer type jobs that could be down with the TPWD in general. I know the State Parks are always looking for volunteers and they are actually very important for the upkeep of parks.

GW is really just another branch of law enforcement. Maybe they would let you do a ride along or something.

I am an On Call Indian Scout and Local State Line Expert at my Lake. Get to ride along and point out folks that think they are hidden and cant be caught. I use it as a scouting ride also.

I read the Game Warden Field Notes a while back and the game warden had a "ride-along" with him when he participated in a stop. So I guess it's do-able? Didn't say if the ride-along was a GW candidate or not, though. As could have been the case.

Yes you can ask one of them to do a "ride-along".

Just drive around the lake looking for wrong doers and call them every chance you get. Early shooters, boats with no lights, captains drinking beer, boats making wake in no wake zones, hunters leaving trash/hulls etc...The list goes on and on. I bet they would like that.
