Just curious, if one were to want to reload some buckshot will a Mec drop the correct number of pellets? I would think there could be some bridging in the bushing. It sure would be a slow process to have to count them out one by one.

Yep...count 'em. I reload 4Buck and OO. I count both, the 4 won't drop and when it does you have to shake it around to get it level. I count them out and put them in old 35mm film canisters. Then when I start reloading I'm all set.

Take an empty Win primer tray and tape or cut until the right number of compartments are left. Scoop and pour #4 Bk on it. Makes short work of counting small bk shot.

I make my own coyote loads with some olde bb's from years gone past.... these are the copper clad coated, works pretty good, make sure you have no extra pressure, watch for flattened primers. None yet so far! good short range pig load too!

I have to hand count and manually drop them in ...9 pieces ....3 at a time of 00 buck.
The Empty primer tray works pretty well.....It's just easier for me to put on gloves and count em out.

As noted above, use primer tray with the excess holes taped off. Layer the pellets in the hull and you will get more consistent patterns and crimps. If you just dump them in, you will end up with patterns all over the place.

Do none of y'all run buffer with the shot? It is pretty common in buckshot loads to keep the pattern consistent.
