My father bought this Stevenson arms single shot .410 shotgun 46 years ago. It was his first gun ever purchased. And he shot his first dove with it that year and many more. His younger brother shot his first his youngest brother the same. 26 years ago I shot my first dove with it and a ton with it for a couple of years. My brother shortly after the same. Both my sons shot there first dove also with it. And today that tradition continued when my 12 year old daughter destinie shot her first dove on wing with it and I couldn't of been prouder of her and it brought back so many memories of me feeling as good as she did when I shot my first dove with it. That gun is what got me hooked on wing shooting and now it has done the same for my lil girl. I've got one lil girl left to make it her first also coming up soon.
Also had the newest member of my wing shooting team added today. My first bird dog a 5 month old German short hair pointer we named peggysue. For her first hunt she did great retrieved 1 bird we only shot 2 got alot of work to do with her but I think she will be a fine bird dog. The front pushed alot of birds out of my area tday. I'm hoping some new wings will be here tmaro.

I think that is 3 generations. Great legacy gun and good looking pup. Congrats to your daughter on her first bird!

Thanks. Sorry for the miss naming. I thought each different my familys age groups were generations.
And it is our family's greatest legacy next to the .243 that we all shot first deer with also.

Remember how Robert Earl said it went, "She stepped out in the alley with a single shot .410, the road goes on forever and the party never ends."

Congratulations and I hope one day her children tell the story of how it came about after they kill their dove birds with it too.

I forgot about that song. Great saying. I hope the party never ends with it either.
Thanks.
