Your not the only one, but you need to be there early to really catch them. I have a pond on my route home that I usually see a few working just before season, been a bust so far, not a one.

Nope.

Is it to late to push the early teal back a week?

Without flooded vegetation. They will move early and often and won't stick around very long.

Its the same story every year on here. North TX guys crying there is no Teal, the South TX guys beating their chest that they are killing Teal. Fast forward to December North TX guys beating their chest that they are killing all the big ducks and South TX guys crying the blues that there is no ducks. Same topic every year, just like " should I use my dog in dove season " or " what choke should I use for dove, duck, geese, crain, " same every year.

I don't care if there's birds or not. I'll be shooting at dragonflies.

Not the same for sure. Just got back from another lake scouting.
Four lakes that were covered with teal last year have almost none, saw two small groups tonight.

It depends on your shot size.

We should hopefully see a push of them birds this weekend. Weak front coming through and I think another one Monday as well. Should make for a decent opening weekend.

There should be an extra chapter inserted into the book of Ecclesiastes, with this quote put in. All it needs is the phrase "under the sun".
