Didn't start out good, back right tire, not sure what the heck it did... This tires I just got last year, glad I got insurance for them..

Got the spare on I'm rolling again...

There was a lot of work to do, but I decided my job today was stain the inside of this blind.

This blind is going on its 5th season. When I first put it together, I started to stain it but was told not to because it was treated wood, and would not stick. So couple seasons later I stained the out side, then last season stained the inside half asre, left lots of spots not staind job today was to finish inside....

Clean all these out...

Wheres the water?

You park next to the curb a lot? Looking at the pictures looks like you curb checked that tire a time or two.

Yeah I do and probably the issue. The damage shown tho is from the rim on the flat tire, but the walls of the tire bubbled. It made a noise like I had hole in my exhaust, I been running those tires hard over the last week..

That blind is about 10 or 15 yards from the water (no pics), but full of milfoil, some rain would be nice.. Water about the same level as last year.

Here is a pic of the big blind on the dam, there is always water here. I didn’t work on this blind at all, it just needs to be brushed in.. We will probably hunt here for the teal opener..

Guy ... couple years back I switched to a 50/50 mix of used motor oil and diesel fuel as a replacement for stain or "Thompson Water Seal". It works every bit as well at a fraction of the cost and you can make it up as needed in whatever quantity you need. When I change the oil in the riding mower and tractor, I drain the oil into plastic coffee cans and then mix those with equal parts diesel fuel later. FWIW.

Lookin good, I was curious because that first blind looks to be on a dry hole. Sure hope we get some rain, not looking too promising...

Cappy, I can't believe I've never heard that before. I'll give it a try next time.

Matt, after I replaced treated lumber on a 16' dual axle car hauler trailer and a 12' landscape trailer, I realized part of the reason they weren't holding up more than 3-4 years was my failure to keep the decks well coated. I found the mixture of 50/50 used oil and diesel fuel recipe on-line and have been using it for the past 3-4 years ever since I did a deck replacement on each trailer. I apply 2 LIBERAL coats annually and the wood is still like new except for the darkened color.
