Any thoughts? I have never bowhunted before and I am looking to start next year. My brother works for Bass Pro and can get a 40% discount on Redhead items. He is checking into bows. The Kronik package is $400 so with his discount that would be about $260. I heard that this bow is made by Diamond/Bowtech. My budget is low so that is why I am looking at this. So opinions welcome.

It will take deer and at the price it will be hard to beat.

I bought one before bow season this year and I really like it. It is made by Diamond as far as I can tell. Came in a Diamond box with Diamond stickers and a made by Diamond tag. I am coming from a very old PSE and do not have a lot of experience with the newer high end stuff. I took the time to paper tune the bow, added a stabilzer and new sight and it shoots tight enough for me, 3" goups at 30yds. I shoot a couple of the other bows in its price range and couldn't tell much of a difference. For 260 I don't think you can beat it for a new bow setup.

With my experience being sponsored by Redhead I would say that the Kronik for that price would be a great deal. Look into the price you could get the Toxik for. The Toxik is a great bow, and is very similar to the Black Ice. Both are very nice bows.
