I'm looking for hunt in the January / February time frame. It is for a small group of at least two adults and two kids (ages 8 & 10). Kids would be happy to shoot jack rabbits and the adults the others. We would like a hunt with a good chance at a bobcat.

We are flexible on the location in Texas as part of the group will be flying in from out of state. Can anyone give me some direction on who could provide a hunt like this? (We wouldn't need accommodations.) Thanks.

Not to many outfitters for hunts like that , its hard to find someone at that time of the year that will let you hunt because of all the varmint contest going on.

It would likely be the first part of January, but can be flexible with the dates to avoid conflicting with varmint contests.

I googled it and came up with Dan Moody, is that the guy you were thinking of?

Thanks, ffread. It looks like we might have a few options, but if they don't pan out, I'll keep you in mind.

Check with Michael Granstaff of Boar'd hunts out near Bonham. Ive done some hunts with him. Bobcats are his thing. Great time and he's an even better guy.
