After killing birds all weekend dove hunting, we get home Monday afternoon and my son Ryan goes jogging and sees a bird on the side of the road, covered in ants, he thinks hit by a car. He knocks the ants off, and brings it home to his room. It seems to be doing better, but not sure what to feed it or how to care for it. We have tried to look up what kinda bird it is to see what it eats, but we have no clue...

If he's not going for the seeds, try some night crawlers.

Soak some dry cat food in milk. Then feed through a straw.

I raised a woodpecker that didn't have a single feather when I got him/her.
