Lost my wedding ring on the beach at my BIl wedding. Thank God that the peeps there were former Marines. Placed a hat at the location and stared combing the beach. Found it in 10 mins. I was 5 mins away from buying a metal detector.

Mine is somewhere in Orange Beach alabama. It fell off out in the water about 10 feet from shore. Had 10 kids looking all over for it with no luck.

Great job Maceman. I'm sure she is one happy and grateful lady.

I found a family ring for lady that was about 80. She wanted to pay me but I wanted nothing. The tears in her eyes were payment enough. Glad you could find it.

This is the 5th piece of jewelry that I have found and have returned to the owners or their family, My coolest one was an ID bracelet that was dated 1945 and returned it to the mans daughter, he had been dead for 25 years. I also found a wallet that was returned to the mans wife, he had died in 1985 and the wallet was lost in 1962 and I found and returned it in 2003.

Maceman, what was in the wallet that allowed you to find it? Coin, piece of jewelry? I bought a $50.00 metal detector off of flea bay. It's fun, and while I haven't found anything of value, been surprised that it's located old bottle caps, as deep as 8 inches.

There were 2 pennies and 2 nickles in the wallet, along with a 1962 fishing license and an old Montgomery Wards charge card. The wallet was found where the owners brother lived way back when. Slicktree you can get a good starter unit for around 200 bucks, I would recommend a Garretts Ace 250. Check out kellycodetectors.com, they are very helpful and always have great deals on beepers!! I found a wedding ring in the bottom of a box I got earlier this year from BPS. I guess it slipped off the finger of the packer. Their customer service rep told me I won the oddest phone call award when I called to tell them about it.
Silver spurs and gold tequila keep me hanging on. Pretty girls and old cantinas give me shelter from the storm.

I ordered a detector from Kellyco friday and should have it in a few days. I can't wait to get started. I need something to do to relax.
