25.3 grains of Ramshot Tac pushing 55 grain Hornady VMAX. My son has shot over a dozen hogs (no monsters)and never had one take another step. Behind ear placement seems to make hogs go to sleep quickly.

Can do that with a 22shoret with proportion shot placement does not make it the best though IMO

Take smart shots and you wont have any problem dropping them. I just use the Hornady 55gr Polymer tips. They work fine with good shot placement

I've always used any brand of FMJ and they have always worked. Most of the hogs are DRT but a few have run off up to about 50 yards. End result is that all have died really quickly. Longest shot at any of those has been 150 yards max with most being 75-100 yards out. A good head shot will work everytime.

I have brought do hogs in a trap with one shot behind the ear with a 22 LR. It is all about shot placement.

The Barnes Tsx in 50 or 55 grains should do the trick for ya. They seem to be good at holding up like a bonded bullet.
