Make dadgum sure you are drinking water to hydrate. It is gonna be hot as hell Sunday for the opener. Good luck to you all and post pics of your limits.

It's hot in Texas on Sep 1? Who knew? Can anyone remember the LAST time it wasn't hot on the dove opener? LOL
I bet I slug down two gallons of water every afternoon at football practice. We are out there from 3 to 6 every day. Mon - Wed

If you haven't done so already, throw a few gallon jugs of water in the freezer. Bagged ice is expensive! Be safe.

Yeah I have the camel pack filled with water and going to be taking a canteen of water as well.
Iv got hogs an can show you a good time.

Shoot a dove and let it lay on the ground for about 10 minutes. By time you pick it up it should be medium well done. Slap on a little BBQ sauce and you've got a meal.
If you're out in the field and getting overheated don't forget the ol' wet a towel in the ice water from the cooler and place it on your head cooling method. This little trick has helped me survive the last few seasons of primitive camping during dove season.

Sunscreen. Shade. Keep your dogs cool with shade and lots of water and rest.
Texas openers are usually hot, this one will be cooking!
