Brother went out to check the camera and to our surprise there was a healthy population of bucks. Your thoughts on the first 10pt...he looks a couple of years away from maturity.

Guess you won't need to come out and hunt with me at the lease this year.

What area of Navarro? We are 6 miles west of Corsicana and always seem to have at least one or two solid bucks roaming through.

Property is near the lake. Our only problem is this is wide open cattle land which makes it tough to hunt during the season.

Mills? We would be wide open if it wasn't for the old dry creek bed full of oaks. You see any turkey or quail? Hogs?

Yes sir. About 150 acres. A few oak trees that also attract the deer but no significant cover to make for an ideal set up. All the cover is on the other side of the fence belonging to tpwd. Have not seen any quail. A few pigs and a stray Turkey.

Same line up we see. I've always been told there are a good bit of turkey out by the lake, never seen them though. My grandfather still tells stories about how many quail he used to have on our place. He spent a lot of time chasing them. Nice bucks I'm sure we'll see pics if one hits the dirt.

Great bucks!

They weren't raiding a girl scout troop looking for overdue library books.

Outstanding! If you're close to TPWD land, so much the better.
