what do you mean? we would have to know where we were and what we have for a back stop and such, is that what you are talking about? safety is no 1 a clean shot is also very important.

Before you try a shot at that range you should goto Tiger Valley and try it on paper,

They have a 1000 yard range

Here is their link,
http://www.tigervalley.com/tvciv_longrangeopen.php

Let me know if you go; I may pull out the .50 and come meet you

How often do you practice making 600+ shots? What rifle were you thinking?

I am in tyler I shoot in the cool months pretty regular lets say twice a week or so. As for cal. I would probly shoot a 6mm I have not shot much this year as it is just now getting cool enough for me to shoot.

At that range, I would rather have "skill" than "Good Luck"

6mm cal. is really light : for 700 plus yard shot. I would use 50 cal or larger

I actually love the 6mm! One of my most accurate guns is a 6mm, but if I had any reason in the world to think that I would be stretching the distance of my shot past the 300 yard mark I can garuntee you that the 6mm wont even be on my radar when it comes to the list of guns that would be in my hand!

point well taken what would you want to shoot at 700 plus yds? I can shoot MY 6MM better at distance than anything I have, NOTE I SAID I.Also you will notice a lot of long range records are held with the 6mm.

No offense, but that doesn't sound right. Bowhunter's get as close as possible.

Ill rent you a .50 cal

compare the bullet size:

I belive I had a .223 on the left and a 22-250 on the right.
650 Grain V max.

You will have to supply the ammo at $5.00 a round.
Ill supply the gun and glass.
You will also need some range time with it at your cost. {Tiger Valley}

How much energy could a 6mm possibly have left at 700 yards? Not knocking your idea, but it seems that it wouldn't have much steam left out there.
