But granted if I was not spending all my time coaching or game planning, I would be fired up for dove season.

What's friday high school football got to do with dove hunting on sunday?

I just thought it was the people in my area that thought football came first.

Football coaches stay busy. I have a friend who is an offensive coordinator for gisd. He won't have time to do any kind of huntin until thanksgiving break and after the season. This guys not saying he's "perfect". Just to busy to hunt.

Work hard so ya can try to beat state champs Katy Tigers.

We work all day on Saturday during the season and as soon as Church is over on Sunday we are back at the Field House until dark thirty.

Not complaing, just asking you guys who CAN hunt to think of those who cannot.

And regarding Katy, while they are not in our classification and I have nothing but respect for them, we have MORE state titles than they.

And just for grins, what did I say to make anyone think I was somehow saying I was "perfect"?

and I'm from Odessa, Permian (once the greatest HS football team in Texas)... but I don't think ft ball even means anything to them any more, sad.

I never joined sport programs in school because it interfered with my hunting.

Should be. Looked rough friday night on offense but same as last year, we always take a little time to gel. Thats what happens when you have an offensive playbook the same size as most D-1 Colleges.

By the time district rolls around we should be a rolling ball of butcher knives.
