Thanks to the drought it's the only water for miles. Dove and teal crash there are so many. Better bring your buddies don't want to waste a drive to limit out in 15 min

Where can you hunt on the lake? Any public land?

There is a public lands section and link on this fourm. My first post was sarcastic. There is public land but you need to do your own research and leg work. The lake is super low it gets a lot of pressure. It looks pretty miserable out there right now b

I looked at the link. So you don't need a permit to hunt there, right?

Not directed to you stylesp, just FYI for anyone surfing in. I just updated the public hunting sticky at the top of the migratory forum. So all links should working and are the most up to date I could find on the web or that has been given to me.

I am no longer editing the page to only waterfowl related as it was too time consuming, so it is cut and paste from the public hunting forum and all inclusive. Use those links to find your answers for "can I hunt at". You can also use the links on that page to find the controlling authority or manager of any public area or lake in Texas that you are wishing to hunt. Public land rules are vastly different for different areas. They are not static and constantly changing, so always best to ask directly rather than strangers on a forum.

Good luck to all this season.
