Recently, My son and I have encountered some bad luck with two different Stoeger shotguns. My son's shotgun was the model 3000, and the barrel blew up like a peeled Bannana. I don't know what caused this, I don't believe there was mud, or a stuck wad. reason being, he had shot and killed a teal, and on the next flight, when he shot, that is when the barrel Blew up like a peeled bannana. Then, the next weekend, (this past), he takes out my other stoeger P350, which has only been used about 5 times, and the fore-end breaks on both sides rendering the gun useless until I get this repaired. Has anyone dealt with their customer service, and has anyone else had problems with their product?

My hunting buddy I was in the army with beat the hell outta his Stoeger regularly. It was his utility gun and we hunted a couple times a week year round and he never had a hiccup with it. I do remember him telling me he read something about Blackclouds not working well with Stoegers thus he quit using them. But I know he liked the gun and certainly liked the price! Sorry this isn't more helpful. Good luck and I hope your son is ok.

For the peeled barrel, something was jammed in there. It banana peels because the barrel happened to be weaker than the obstruction.

I had a Stoeger Condor Field O/U that was indestructable. Not 1 issue in 8 years of ownership.

I shoot a Stoeger Comp Condor O/U that has been a great entry clays gun. Besides being heavy... mechanically, the gun performs very well.

For the peeled barrel, something was jammed in there. It banana peels because the barrel happened to be weaker than the obstruction. Agreed; peeled barrels are almost always caused by an obstruction. If it were a flaw in the metallurgy/material you'd likely just have a slight gash to relieve pressure, but not a "peeling". To answer your question though, I've never owned a Stoeger, but I shot sporting clays with a guy who used an M2000. He was most cetainly a newbie to fire-arms, so I can't speak to what he'd done to it, or how well he took care of it, but he had all kinds of problems with jamming and not being able to feed rounds; this was on 1oz target loads through, so that could have something to do with it. I shot the thing a couple of times and it seemed like the mainspring that drove the bolt forward was weak. I'm not sure if they're all like that, but I could have probably used the stem of a wine glass to cycle the action without breaking it; it was like nothing I'd ever seen.

Badly regulated right barrel of an Uplander 12ga. Take a real close look at them. If there in the box put it together and inspect at store. They are imports from various countries.

I have a O/U shotgun that would not open. I had only fired it a dozen times or so. Something about the locking pin getting stuck. My smith charged me about $100 to fix it.

Never had a single problem with ours. Me and some buddies all bought them for their affordability. We needed something we didn't have to pamper while varmint hunting. I bout the O/U and a buddy bought the 2000. They have been everywhere with us. Including underwater! We have never had a misfire a jam or an exploding barrel. But we also take them apart and completely clean them after every big hunt.

I agree about the barrel blowing up, that had to be a barrel obstruction. I have heard that song of the semi-auto stoegers have trouble feeding but nothing like you have described.
