North zone I'll be here. Scouting mission from yesterday paid off...

South zone I'm headed to a little farm where my mom grew up. Stopped by it on the way to Padre a couple weeks ago and it had plenty of birds. Doing a Sat AM teal, Sat PM dove, Sun AM dove hunt. I can't wait to take my son to see where and how all his kinfolk lived their lives. The farm house is still barely standing although is has been abandoned for 20 years, but he pond is holding up!

I'll be in Bartlett for the central opener and most days of the season. Be in Arnekeville for the south zone opener and probably for the second split.

I will be hunting in Bartlett also. How have the birds been flying in your area?

Castroville or Hondo, special WW area

opening day i'm hunting south side san Antonio, then have a hunt in new braunfels on the 5th and in Hondo on the 19th.

South Zone I'll be in Tilden or Batesville.

For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

Was going to be out of town unable to hunt, so I never lined anything up for the opener. But those plans changed. Probably take my son dove hunting at my deer lease out by Graham on the 1st and 2nd. Then hunt some public land near DFW on the 3rd. Unless I find some exceptional hunting on the 3rd, I will head back out to my deer lease for an evening hunt on the 5th. Then hunt Stompy's place at breckenridge on Friday the 6th. Did some retrieving work with Mr. Dash today to keep him polished up for the coming season. Can't wait.
