Its the fact that the 14.5 has to many cases of not stopping what you shot. Would like to know what you're talking about. Not impressed with 10.5 yada. What have you killed with one? Post some pics so I can take you seriously. I have over 100 kills with .223 in my photobucket account I can post if need be. I am confident my short ARs will stop what I shoot, here is aftermath of one shot with 77grain OTM.

Most everywhere you look people want $150-250 just to kill 1 or 2. They are horrible animals (even worse if not for bacon), why would you not want them just killed and removed? I get the feeling that money is driving these folks....

Money drives it for sure, but alot of money goes into hunting them. I am covered up in hogs, but its so dense where my land is that you have to bait them to get a shot. Spot and stalk doesn't work at my place. I have only killed 5 in my life spot and stalking here.
If its open land I agree, they should let people kill them free if they are messing up the land.

That is kind of like the land we hunt on. Really dense brush and stuff. Only one we've killed out there was on four wheelers and we almost ran over the group in some really thick field brush/grass type stuff. Morgan you need to take me and my buddy Dalton (the one that dropped off my barrel at your house) out to your place I want to mow some down with that M16

I guess I live in a fantasy land in my head. Just sit in one spot long enough and you will see a few come out...though I do see how baiting them will get you more action. Alot more to hunting than pulling the trigger and stalking...I am learning this very quickly by reading others post. I dont have a lease or land...so I tend to hunt more paper than animals.

BTW not impressed with the "I've taken hogs with a 10.5" people take hogs with pellet guns all the time. I don't really have a dog in this fight considering I don't own any SBRs, but this statement is just ridiculous. A 10.5" barrel should push a 75gr projectile right around 2500fps; I fail to see how thats all that underpowered relative to a 14.5/16/18/20" 5.56 upper.

A belt fed 1919A4 full auto .308 post sample. I sprung for the good tripod too, we will set our elevation and just sweep left to right when the sounder comes out. Chopping lettuce!

Feeders are the only way we can get a shot at the swine at our place as well. We have some fairly open spots, but all the ones I've killed over the years there have been under the feeders or in the traps. Sometimes they show up thirty at a time, other times the only thing that shows up is boredom.
Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large numbers

I didn't watch the video but I measured my Colt 6920 and from the receiver to the end of barrel is 17 1/4", my 14.5 BCM with Battlecomp pinned and welded is 16 1/2". Not much difference in my opinion and not worth the added cost of pining and welding.
