My guess is Aug 15th same day license is availible for purchase. I always get mine on aug 15-20 and they have the books at that time.

Call the tpwd in Austin tell them to send u a booklet or u can buy ur permit and they will send u one

They sent me the drawn hunts booklet..but I have always gotten the maps about 2 weeks after getting my license.

Yep, they have the new 2013-2014 Annual Public Hunting Lands booklet online now. Here is the direct link. Link to 2013-14 APH Book pdf file FYI, There is a sticky post in the land and leases forum titled PUBLIC HUNTING OPPORTUNITIES AND AREAS IN TEXAS. I updated most of the links yesterday so it is now up to date. Websites are dynamic so half of the links were dead or incorrect. I hunted up the new ones replaced the outdated links. Soon, I will update the related sticky link here in migratory for y'all. It helps cut back on the "can I hunt at..." posts when the internet scouters hit the forum. Hopefully it's a good resource for some of you guys as well.
