So far, I haven't noticed much of a drop in prices. Yesterday, I stopped at the Wal Mart in Pleasanton to get a few bags, and they were $ 8.97 for 40 lb. bags. Got it cheaper than that last year.

I dont think we will ever see corn for the prices we used to pay. Its just like Gasoline, they know that we will buy it no matter the price.

Actually corn is one of the cheapest grains out there...

It was 1.02avg a bushell in 1960
It was 3.83avg a bushell in 2010(with inflation should be 7.51a bushell)
It was 6.67avg a bushell in 2012(with inflation should of been 7.91 a bushell)

Looks like its 4.50-4.80 today
More or less we've been getting a pretty damn good deal compared to the farmer

I was watching the news yesterday and they talked about how they were going to revise down the output projections for corn. They said the crops weren't as good as they thought.

Thanks,
Rich

Revised down but still a record prices did tick up on the news. You also need to factor in the news of a record world wide wheat crop. The bottom line is prices are and will be cheaper than last year but they aren't going too much lower. As the new crop filters through the sysstem bagged corn will drop down some.
