I think most of us have a good basis for our defense. I pray that none will ever have to put it to use.
Amen to that.

I know its not tactical, but I keep my Ruger Blackhawk 357 bedside. It is old, and has a ton of holster wear, but it has become like an extension of my arm, and I shoot it better than any other pistol I own.

S&W sdve9. I don't know why everyone hates on the 9mm but I can put 3 shots in the chest accurately a lot faster than I can with a .45mm

I have honestly not had a lot of problems finding ammo. I have a few good sources and never have had a problem finding ammo. Unless I get picky with the brand.

First off, a Maglight to make sure it ain't a kid of mine! That's in the left hand. A Glock G19 is in the right loaded with Hornady Critical Defense ammo.
PS - The older those kids get, the louder they get!

Ever since a drug dealer came to my house looking for a relative of mine I've stayed prepared. It's too easy to think you're safe. When you aren't.

Beretta PX4 in .40 S&W and a bright [censored] LED .99 cent flashlight.
Had to draw mine one time. Door alarm went off. Not a good feeling. Woke up slightly dizzy and adrenaline pumping. Since then I have been considering a pistol grip semi auto 12ga, for point and click.
I don't see how there's any way in hell a gun sitting in your safe is going to help.

I always have my carry gun which is a 1911 Springfield ultra within arms reach. The only time I don't have it is when I go to school. So that would be what I grab.

Hell, I've read that Hickok carried a pair of BP Navy Colts 'til the day he died because that's what he used the best and saw no reason to change. Not gonna' use them myself for home defense, 'cause I ain't. Hickok.
