Got these in today and there is a small dent on out side of mold. It does not affect function but still concerned . I want to exchange them but the turn around time is one month from the place I ordered. Do any of you with casting experience think this will affect my casting ? Here are some pics . Like I said the mold when closed look perfect. As you can see dent is in corner out side of mold.

First world problems.
Seriously? Has zero effect on making bullets.
If you just have to have brand new shiny perfect dies, then exchange them. Otherwise heat em up and start pouring lead. After a year, they are going to look worse than that.

No problem. Get a candle to black the interior of the mold and start casting. You might want to wait until the cool morning, it is rough when the temps are 100+, seems my molds start running hot plus I'm sweating so much I can't see.

The ding on the corner does not look serious enough to affect the integrity of the mold. Check to be sure that they close properly and there is no light showing.
Then clean the mold and cavities thoroughly with acetone or isopropyl alcohol (90% not rubbing alcohol) before you try to cast. Let the mold dry thoroughly. Smoke the cavities if you think it helps, I don't and I get good bullets without it. If you smoke the cavities, be sure not to smoke the areas around the cavities, as this could cause poor venting and poorly filled out bullets.
