OK, opinions... age and score of this young buck... Could it be possible this deer is only 1.5yo free range?

I believe this might be a 1.5yo and the potential to be a monster. Trying to get some opinions to persuade folks to put him on "protected" status.

This is hill country around Boerne and the deer are typically small bodied and small necked as a rule. This deer was not seen last year and the property is very tiny at less than 50 acres.

Age I would put around 3.5 but neck sure makes you think he is 2.5. Hard guessing age from the one action shot showing his whole body tensed up though...nice pic BTW!!

Score, WAG, 130's when all done...

Have to say he's a 3 yo and in the upper teens.. Scoring when in velvet is usually not the best time, but theres my 2 cents. Great genetics to keep around either way.

3 yr old at least and low to mid teens.

I'm going with the rest and saying 3. He won't break 120. Let him walk and pray he makes 5+ then he could really be nice.
