How durable is the finish on these? I have the black one and I plan on using it for carry. I just don't want to have a junky looking pistol after a few months. What's y'alls experience so far?

Won't hold up. I'd stick to a stainless slide Kimber for carry purpose. Or be prepared to have it coated.

Bottom line is any gun you use for EDC is gonna show some wear unfortunately, no matter what kind of finish the gun has or holster material. I carry something a little cheaper for my EDC, so it doesn't bother me as bad when it gets some wear on it. I have a friend that has carried a Wilson Combat 1911 for years and has PLENTY of wear. Doesn't bother him one bit though.

I got two Kimbers. It doesn't matter to me if all the finish comes off. Carry is hard on a gun's finish. it is hard on guns period. had one out in a hard long rain. got soaked thru and thru. had one on when a 4 four old went off a boat dock. we went to the bottom of six foot of water together after Hudson. neither of the three was worse for the ware. the lessons here are you better know to strip clean your 1911 down to the bare frame and all kids should ware a water safety devise if they can fall in the water PS cell phone did not come as well

Wear and tear is gonna happen. Especially during the summer months. Bill kinda freaked when he saw rust on his Kimber.
104 in the shade. It's concealed and you sweat.
It cleaned up nicely. Just a reminder to wipe it down more often.
Rust is bad. Few battle scars from carry/and use is a zero issue.
