I don't ever recall seeing so many freakin' dove. EVERYWHERE.

If I could shoot in my backyard, I'd limit out in a matter of 5 min. Week before the season a cold front will hit and push them all out. Never fails.
We interrupt this marriage for hunting season.

The last two years were so hot and dry, birds had it tough.
This year: mild weather, regular rain and bumper crops.

It's usually gulf storms, hurricanes that can hurt a hunt closer to the coast. I'd love a little cool front on Sep.1 to bring temp down to like mid 80's and low humidity rather than the sweat box it usually is
