I have a .17 HMR and love it. I personally do not see the need to have it going any faster. Cool, yes. But I do not see the need. I have been having troubles with the HMR flying right through varmints at closer ranges (under 25 yds) and not getting a clean kill. I would like to test the WMR against a .22 Hornet or a .22 Mag. Anybody done this research?

Well, I did buy it. Haven't gotten a chance to shoot it yet but it's just like everyone says. Stock sucks (It's a Savage) but overall I am pleased. The bolt is kind of hard to close but I'm sure it will loosen up. I haven't even cleaned the packing grease out lol.

Regardless, if you look at the ballistics, it performs way above the HMR and 22 mag. All at about the same cost per round. That is awesome!! I wanted a coyote gun without spending $1 a round. Now I have it.

Ryan if you remove the trigger guard and on the sides beside the trigger I put some quick steel and mine is a lot better now.
