My brother an I got our first black bears up in Quebec Canada. Both of us took them with our bows. Both bears were shot at around 15 yards, ran for 100 yards and then gave us the death moan. Fun hunt... if you want to get on some big bear Canada will provide a great time. My rug will be hear around November/ December timeframe.

We did have a guide http://bigbearhunt.com/Really good guys who make everything a fantastic experience. We had a full week hunt and one of us would see 1-3 bear every night.
